This book is a collection of ethnographic accounts and written sources on vampires in Poland. To lessen the striking effect, the illustrations of horrific beliefs were meant to be grotesque instead of being as descriptive and realistic as the texts themselves and achieve this through their collage technique made from archival photos of the times.
Julia Mirny lives and works in Warsaw, Poland.
This collage illustration has been used for a fundraising auction to support Luigi Sacco Hospital in Milano during the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been included in the catalogue created for the auction and also printed as a poster.
Alvvino is a collage artist from Milan. Over the last ten years his surrealist-pop images have been commissioned by a wide range of clients, from editorial projects to music and fashion industry.
This is award winning Taiwan-based illustrator, Shih Hsien, first self-authored book. It includes 24 texts and illustrations describing her life while studying at RCA in London.
The black and white images were created with printmaking and collage technique before being assembled and finished digitally.
The creator of this book, Leeds based artist Adam Allsuch Boardman, shares his fascination with UFOs in this non-fiction collection of the people, literary estoerica and films dedicated to the phenomena. His aim is to bring context to the associated social history in this colourful picture book.
This is part of a collaboration of 15 Germna cartoonists about the aftermath of Corona. After two previous two publications charting the pandemic, this is now focussed on “the great freedom – life after Corona”. These are near visions of the future, which should bring hope, laughter, and also reflection.
Maren Amini is an illustrator based in Hamburg, Germany. She graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg in 2009 with a degree in Illustration and Communication Design
This piece was created for the illustration competition ‘Santiago en 100 Palabras’, an annual competition in Santiago, Chile with the winning image to accompany a short story about a lonely woman who spends all her time in her apartment with her pet fish.
Caroline Dierksheide is originally from Chicago, studied communication design at Washington University in St. Louis and now lives in Santiago. Chile.
