Why did you make this work:
I wanted to give courage to the people who feels trapped by fears. So I created a fictional story of a timid girl who has never left her little cabin. She is afraid of the unfamiliarity aka the outside world. And the story is about the girl going on a journey to become fearless. The book talks about many different types of fears and especially a fear of losing loved ones and how to overcome them.

How was the illustration used:
The illustrations are intended for the children's book but the story will touch all age groups.

How did you make this work:
After hand drawn sketches and rough layouts are complete, I lined and colored illustration digitally using adobe photoshop. Only 2 color were selected for the entire series; Pantone U116 (warm yellow) and K100 (black). I wanted to create high contrast images by limiting color choices. Black represents fear while yellow represents encouragement.
