Why did you make this work:
The book was created for Yeehoo Press. An independent book publisher based in Los Angeles. The Brief was to write and illustrate a book based on the theme of 'existence'.

How was the illustration used:
The illustration's were used for a children's book.

How did you make this work:
Everything is hand painted with acrylic and colour pencil and then digitally collaged on photoshop, with further editing done digitally. This process allows me to easily make changes as I go.

Oliver Averill is an illustrator based in the West Midlands of the United Kingdom, inspired by history and most things old fashioned. He graduated from Falmouth University with a degree in illustration and enjoys creating his imagery through textures and mark making, which help create atmosphere in his work.
