| New TalentBrief:
This series of illustrations are created as a self-initiated project. The objective was to re-imagine and re-illustrate selected stories from the children's book classic Frog And Toad series by Arnold Lobel with contemporary audience in mind.
Illustrations are digitally coloured following initial pencil drawings. The artwork was inspired by the autobiographical message underlaying the Frog and Toad's platonic relationship. Intimate as well as light-hearted scenes were chosen to highlight the celebration of love and friendship while giving fresh look to the books originally written and illustrated in the 1970s.
Momoko is a self-taught author-illustrator originally from Japan. She studied filmmaking and currently works in a post-production company in London. However, she has decided to pursue her dream to be a children’s book illustrator. Her first picture book will be published in April 2020.
