Why did you make this work:
Poster for a music festival, which schedules concerts at dawn, on the shores of Lake Geneva. I was asked to reflect in my drawing this special moment of the day, in summer; I was also asked to represent the musical choices and the spirit of the festival: voices, percussions, the return to the origins (of the sun, humanity, music). I was given carte blanche for this poster.

How was the illustration used:
Printed street poster, A6 leporello-programm, A5 flyer, web

How did you make this work:
I started by drawing freely in my sketchbook, then I chose some of the characters and figures that had appeared in these pages. I made a composition by staging these characters, with a palette of colours designed for dawn. The final drawings are made in Indian ink, scanned and digitally coloured.

Biography:
I live and work in Geneva (Switzerland). After a degree in History, I followed the illustration course at Escola Massana in Barcelona, where I lived between 2004 and 2010. I work as an illustrator for press articles, posters and I work on personal projects: children's books, silkscreen printing, collective exhibitions, etc. My children's book Carnet de bal (La Joie de lire, 2014) has become a show for all audiences, choreographed and danced by Madeleine Raykov, on tour.In 2018 is published "In My Body..." (La Joie de lire), a walk inside the child's body, emotional rather than anatomical. Passionate about images but also about transmission, I taught illustration at Geneva's University for Art and Design (2013-2017). I'm continuing educational activities in parallel with my illustration work.
