Catherine McArdle
Give Me 5 Reasons Why I Can't Get a Goat

Children's Publishing

Un-commissioned | New Talent

Why did you make this work:
This work was for the diploma project for The Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge School of Art) MA Children's Book Illustration. We were set an open brief to create a picture book for children. I was inspired by my 10 year old daughter's longing to have a goat. Sadly I can't give her a goat, but I can give her a book about a goat.

How was the illustration used:
The main intended use is for the diploma project at university, but in the future I am hopeful that this will be published.

How did you make this work:
The illustrations were screenprinted at home, by painting directly onto the screen with drawing fluid.
