Why did you make this work:
The inspiration behind this illustration was moving to a new city. I was trying to get to know the place, so I would hop on a tram and sketch. This is the only image that I finalised from those sketches. The character is an amalgamation of different people, poses and styles that I seen at the time.

My name is Cathal (It’s a tough one!). I am an Irish illustrator based in France. My work consists of highly figurative forms, smart compositions and joyful colour schemes.
