Why did you choose to enter this work?
I feel like we all have a tool to create impact and deliver an important message. In my case, this "tool" includes both illustration and animation, so I wanted to create something meaningful with it.
What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
I love how the smooth animation helps bring together both illustration and graphics. I feel like gives these pieces a very special flow.(Oh, and I love curling!)
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
As an emerging illustrator, this is a great opportunity to showcase my work, as well as a reminder to trust the process and keep up the hard work.
Where do you usually work?
I don't have a studio yet (which is something I'm truly looking forward to!) so I just work from home using my iPad and laptop.
What is your dream commission?
I'd love to work on a big campaign that involves both illustration and animation! There are lots of clients I'd love to work with out there, but collaborating with a museum would be a dream to me.
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Don't be afraid to ask for help whenever you need it. Build connections and make new friends in the industry ✨
What are your plans for the future?
Freelance illustration is my biggest plan at the moment. I'd love to work with bigger clients and get my work seen by people all around the globe.
