| New TalentWhy did you make this work:
I created this picture book for my final masters stage project for my MA in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. 'Chicken the Cat' is a picture book that follows the journey of Chicken who may seem like a shy scaredy cat but really she is very brave.
How was the illustration used:
Children's picture book
How did you make this work:
The illustrations for this picture book were made using multiple different medias including acrylic gouache, mono printing and pencils that are then scanned in and arranged digitally. I enjoy using materials that allow me to be playful with my mark making, but equally by arranging and compiling everything digitally I have the freedom to create multiple versions and experiment with compositions.

Year of Graduation:
Alicia studied a BA in Illustration and an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. Through her illustrations she aims to capture the small details in life that are not always noticed in a busy world. She enjoys telling the stories of characters and environments that have a quiet existence, but are brought to life using imagination, colours and playful textures.
