Why did you choose to enter this work?
I think there are something beyond the image and make people to think about the life.

What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
When the shadow encounter different things and become distorted under different surfaces, it reminds me of people going through different things and meeting different people in their lives.

What excites you most about being shortlisted?
It is a valuable chance for me to promote myself as an illustrator, and it encourages me keep working hard in illustration practice.

Where do you usually work?
I prefer going to the studio than staying at my room, because studio can provide a vibrant environment to work. For me, inspiration come when you go out and meet new things!

How long did it take to complete your project?
About 1 months.

What is your dream commission?
1. I am allowed to draw illustration in my own style. 2. Have a reasonable budget.

What’s your favourite thing to draw?
Interesting people and cute animals in colorful ways.

What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Use your eyes to see, use your heart to feel and use your hand to keep practicing.

What are your plans for the future?
Have an illustration studio with lots of plants and my own ceramic, wood stuff decorating the room. Do some commission work on weekdays and have some DIY workshops on weekends.
