Why did you choose to enter this work?
This is a page from my visual diary book project, 'A Week in Alaska.' I documented my experiences in Alaska for a week in chronological order—capturing landscapes, animals, emotions, and people.

What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
This page, 'Double Dog,' as a representative of the harmonious blend between emotion and materials. The two elements complement each other beautifully. It depicts two sled dogs that enjoy togethering.

What excites you most about being shortlisted?
Winning this award has further solidified my direction as a professional illustrator and has given me the confidence and courage to explore even more possibilities within the realm of illustration.

Where do you usually work?
Two working modes. For storytelling and illustration projects, I work from home primarily using iPad. However, I also often take my traditional art materials venture outside to observe and document.

How long did it take to complete your project?
I enjoy completing each page within a day, as it helps me maintain a sense of freshness and spontaneity in my work.

What is your dream commission?
I have a passion for creating book covers, magazine covers, and movie posters. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoy designing characters for films.

What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I find joy in creating fragmented pieces of characters and scenes, where different elements collide to express and generate a fresh atmosphere.

What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Feel it before do it.

What are your plans for the future?
In addition to illustration, I have passion for creating comic and animated films. I believe I will be active in various fields, exploring and contributing my creativity across different areas.
