Why did you make this work:
A commissioned piece by Amazon Westland publishers India for the cover of a short story collection by author, actor, and director Manav Kaul.

How was the illustration used:
The front cover is a depiction of a central story in which the tourist is baffled by his taciturn companion on a dark and scary night in the hills. I used two characters with a slight overlay of canvas texture, with the interplay of their shadows on a title which placed in the shape of a curved moonlit road as central image enveloped with the stylized tree-like shapes arranged in hills shape.

How did you make this work:
This piece is illustrated wholly in a digital format with an overlay of various textures and the use of various brushes to get the desired effect.
