Why did you make this work:
When the Norwegian indie band Monalia released their new single "Somebody else" early last year, they asked me to make a music video for the song, with complete artistic freedom. Their sound is a place where melancholy meets hope - and that is what i wanted to communicate too. That whatever gloomy situation you might find your self in, there is always a way out of it.

How was the illustration used:
This animation is a music video for Monalia. It helps to explain the meaning of the lyrics, but also provide an opportunity to interpret them broader.

How did you make this work:
This was animated by hand, frame by frame, using Procreate, then put together in Adobe Premiere. Procreate's animation assist was very help full in the process. Animating like this was very appealing to the band as it fits good with their analog sound.
