Why did you make this work:
The Chinese milktea brand Heytea is about to open a new shop in Shenzhen. An artwork on the hoardings was commissioned for the construction period which lasts about 3 months. The brief was about seeking inspiration within the process of making.

How was the illustration used:
It was inkjet-printed on the hoardings of the building. The complete scale of the work is 392 x 1800 cm.

How did you make this work:
When it comes to the process of making, probably we could find similarities between making artworks and handling tea. The image depicted the process of making tea drinks, from ingredient selecting to machine finishings. Some fictional characters and curious shapes are involved to give the narrative another layer. To cope with the architectual structure, negative spaces are curated carefully.
