Why did you choose to enter this work?
It allowed me to combine my passion for animation with a thought-provoking topic, presenting the concept of data in a humorous and engaging way to captivate and entertain the audience.

What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
I hope to resonate with more audiences about humanising data collection and better interpreting the data related to our daily life.

What excites you most about being shortlisted?
Being shortlisted for WIA2023 has got me buzzing with excitement! It's like winning the golden ticket to the illustrator's chocolate factory.

Where do you usually work?
For illustration I mainly work on a laptop, drawing tablets and iPad. For stop-motion animation, I transform the studio into a miniature world, with cameras, lighting equipment, and a crafted set.

How long did it take to complete your project?
It took me 3 months from ideation, research, medium and material testing to sound design and final editing.

What is your dream commission?
An animated fashion fiesta where vintage elegance, well-being, and beautiful things come together in a whirlwind of style and joy.

What’s your favourite thing to draw?
Cities, plants and inspiring/funny people/things happening in everyday life

What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Experiment as much as possible and find your comfortable medium and style, then illustrate the content you want to communicate and resonate with your audience.

What are your plans for the future?
I'd love to create cheerful and positive illustration and animations, through fashion, well-being, lifestyle, vintage treasures, and all things that make the world a little more delightful.
