Why did you choose to enter this work?
I'm very proud of this work because it showcases my personal style, it's an exclusively Brazilian custom and it was shown to 7 million users simultaneously. I feel like it is a great combo.
What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
The possibility to represent love and affection in its multiple forms, without essentially associating it to obviously human forms, showing it's diversity and plurality with no restrains.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
The possibility to get my work to reach spaces and places that I haven't reached yet.
Where do you usually work?
I use an Ipad Pro to start illustrating, Laptop + Extra screen and keyboard for finalization.
How long did it take to complete your project?
It had a short deadline, the whole process might have lasted 10 days maximum, considering drafts, approval, finalization.
What is your dream commission?
Being hired by companies that make part of my routine, either in clothing, websites I use, things that would reach me and other people in our plural versions of day-by-day.
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I like to create arts that don't include anatomically perfect human forms. I like to explore distortions, animals, fantasy, forms, things beyond that, and a lot of clients tend to play it safe.
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Never stop creating things that go along your personal taste and style you want to explore. Even if it's not the first choice by clients, it creates a repertoire and portfolio you're happy about.
What are your plans for the future?
Keep working on illustrations, freelancing, making good use of free time, travelling to learn and experience things that inspire future arts.
