Why did you make this work:
During the past year I went through a tough Art block. I wanted to take something good out of this difficult year of contemplation and reflection on myself, my life and my work. I used the creative process as a way to analyse my past experiences, while also taking the opportunity to question my work, trying to find the best way to express these personal discoveries and realisations.

How was the illustration used:
soon to be printed. Giclée prints for art exhibition.

How did you make this work:
Each piece is a comment on an aspect of my life- some are questions, others statements of understanding or just hard truths that I finally admitted to myself. I am dealing with universal subjects such as the concept of home and belonging, mortality, memory, self conflict, my experiences as a woman and simply a human being.
