One of a Kind – Book Review

‘One Of A Kind’, a picture book by Neil Packer is an excellent publication that allows you to stop, be still and take the time to think. Inside our protagonist is a youngster called Arvo, whose journey takes us from Linnaean nomenclature to the Dewey decimal system by way of aspects of time and space.

Thought Bubble Festival 2021

Thought Bubble, the UK’s largest comic art festival has announced this years’ event will take place between the 8th – 14th November 2021. Following a successful move to a digital event in 2020, the festival organisers hope to be able to return to a physical convention by Autumn 2021.

Longlist Announced for the 2021 Klaus Flugge Prize

The longlist for the 2021 Klaus Flugge Prize is announced today. Established in 2016, the Klaus Flugge Prize is awarded to the most promising and exciting newcomer to children’s picture book illustration. It honours Klaus Flugge, founder of publisher Andersen Press and an influential figure in picture books.
