Rachel Cannings : ‘The Nickel Hopper’ Film Poster
Rachel created this poster in response to a brief to make a digital film poster for a film festival being held at her university.
She was tasked to illustrate a selection of short, silent films starring Mabel Normand. She chose to focus on ‘The Nickel Hopper’ as it was the most visually rich of the films.

Sunnu Rebecca Choi : Make it make non/sense
Sunnu came across the phrase ‘Colorless green ideas sleep furiously’ by Noam Chomsky, which is nonsensical, but grammatically correct.
She was inspired to create a card game which allows the audience to create their own sensical or nonsensical sentences.
The game includes 510 word cards (nouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives and conjunctions). Each card has an illustration that represents the meaning of the word for better understanding.

The illustrations were made digitally, based on the observational drawings of her own needy dog.
