Food Safety and Hygiene Training Presentation

Science & Technology

Commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
I was commissioned by Met MUnch at Manchester Metropolitan University to create engaging illustrations to go alongside a Food Safety & Hygiene Training course. Information was provided by Met MUnch Nutritional Sciences students & illustrated by myself with additional design by Molly O'Donoghue. The aim of the project was to turn the course information into a playful and easily digestable format.

How was the illustration used:
The Illustrations were used across a Food Safety and Hygiene Training Presentation for use of MMU students and participants at the Ripples of Hope Festival.

How did you make this work:
My materials of choice are often a combination of gouache & pastels layered onto paper cutouts. I enjoy letting buildings, characters & objects form shape from this handcrafted act of drawing with scissors. The process allows me the freedom to explore my ideas & compositions in a tactile & playful manner. I then add finer details digitally where needed using Adobe Fresco’s live brushes.
