Why did you make this work:
This assignment was made as a creative challenge where my goal was to develop my own personal shape language. I used as my main source of inspiration the bodies of dancers because their poses would push my shapes to be more expressive and dynamic while remaining organic and structured. In the end, this challenge was the kickstart for me to work with shapes that can speak/express something.

How was the illustration used:
These illustrations were at first paintings that were digitally recreated to then be for sale as prints and other derived products.

How did you make this work:
Digitally using Adobe Photoshop and Procetate. The originals paintings were made with acrylics on wood canvases

Biography:
Franco Égalité is an illustrator and artist living and working in Montreal, Canada. Raised by his single-mother, he learned to hold a pen and trace a line before walking on his two feet. He knows how and to walk now, and yet hasn’t stop tracing his line.The sensual and captivating drawings of Franco E. takes us into a world where the body plays and exposes itself freely. The bright colours highlights the curves and expressions of these inviting and fiery characters, and although its creator expresses being influenced by cubism and Minimalism, one is caught in this vibrant graphic universe. In this way, a range of emotions and ideas is offered to viewers, free to get caught up in his sublimated bodies.
