Book cover for the first English edition of Liu Xinwu's novel The Wedding Party, which describes a day in a Siheyuan in Beijing in the 1980s.

The illustration was used for the book cover in print and digitally as an ebook.

How did you make this work:
The client selected a concept from the 5 sketches I provided. The line work was created in ink with a dip pen, and was then scanned and colored digitally.
