Usage: Cover and inside illustration for AWP's The Writer's Chronicle Oct/Nov 2016 issue.
Process: I made a few sketches and studies from photos and a model, and then made the final drawing with watercolor, acrylic, pen, and pencil.

Brief Requirements: Request was to show the racial problem in creative writing classrooms, which was the main theme of the issue.
Key Brief Ideas: The key idea was to deliver the oppression, isolation, and frustration that students of color feel in their creative writing classes, where withe males often dominate.
