Why did you choose to enter this work?
This work is really important to me, because I created it during a difficult period of my life. It was such a journey to explore what's going on in the deepest parts of my mind and then express it.

What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
I like the most the colors, symbols and the little details. (For example the texts on the old newspapers what I used)

What excites you most about being shortlisted?
It's exciting to share my works with an international audience and I feel very honored to see my illustrations among amazing artists' .

Where do you usually work?
I usually work at my home, at my desk or lying on the floor.

How long did it take to complete your project?
It took approximately three-four months counting from the first idea.

What is your dream commission?
Publishing this project and making more picture books based on my own ideas.

What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I love to create dreamlike, non-existing worlds filled with animals who act like people.

What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Never stop drawing, even if you're not satisfied with the result. Don't waste your time with comparing to others and stress yourself thinking you're not enough. ( -- I keep telling these myself too)

What are your plans for the future?
I already have a lot of ideas in my head about some picture books, I would like to start and finish them (not just planning and dreaming about them. :) )
