Set on Española Island in the Galapagos, it introduces local species, Spanish phrases and concepts of anxiety and friendship. This project required me to balance factual accuracy against emotive storytelling. The book was fact checked by biologists who live in and specialize on the Galapagos Islands. Text by Samantha Cora.

Rosie Eve is an illustrator and author based in Bristol, UK. She has worked with French, Spanish and American publishers. She applies cinematic storytelling to environmental topics. Her work has been shortlisted for the Stratford Salariya Picture Book Prize, and the Green Picture Book Award.
