What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
I like the vintage storybook effect that the colors and texture offer mixed with my current character design.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
I entered the WIA one time before and didn't even make the longlist, so being shortlisted is incredibly encouraging- especially after seeing all the other wonderful entries.
Where do you usually work?
I work mostly digitally on an iPad. It goes wherever I go!
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
Children.
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Don’t try to make your work look like someone else's. Trust your own unique art style because this is what will makes you stand out.
What are your plans for the future?
My dream is to eventually write and illustrate picture books full time.
