Why did you make this work:
On an Artist Residency in Colombia, I wrote a manifesto about “the power of making stuff”, and dreamt up a drawing of "The Ghostess with the Mostess" - a character who feels invisible but finds colour & alive-ness through creativity. After a lot of pondering and staring at the studio wall… the two melted together and became a puddle of this. It’s for anyone who needs it.

Katy is a London based writer & artist. Her work explores the darkness & brightness of the everyday, mostly over-elevating dumb happenings & mundane thoughts into precious *somethings*. Art can be found in John Lewis, Urban Outfitters, The Geffrye Museum & The RA. Words can be found on TV adverts & billboards for the likes of TK Maxx, Sainsbury's, Malibu & Facebook.
