What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
I like that my project connects our daily activities to a greater picture. Each decision we make as a person has a profound influence on our future. You can't undo a move on a chessboard.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
I'm happy that my project may touch more audiences. I hope people may stop for a moment and contemplate the impact we have on our beloved planet and its residents.
Where do you usually work?
I prefer to work alongside my cockatiel and my budgie. They usually nap on my head when I draw, which forces me to sit at my desk way longer than I expected.
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I have a soft spot for birds, but I also draw other kinds of wildlife.
What are your plans for the future?
As a graduate student studying Environmental Data Science, I hope in the future I will be able to use both technology and illustration to construct a better world for our diverse wildlife population.
