- Why did you create this work?
The book offers professionals and interested laypeople a compedium to center architecture and urban planning on the needs of children - topics include traffic, architecture, landscaping, materials and plants, participation and prevention. 178 illustrations troughout the book focus on the perspective of children, their experiences and necessities trying to bring their world closer to the readers. - How were your illustrations used?
The illustrations serve as the sole visual material inside the book in various sizes. For the design of the cover we decided to use a selection of the illustrations, playfully arranged on the front, back and inside. I worked on the illustration concept for the cover, the graphic design was done by Heimann + Schwantes. - What materials and techniques did you use?

I have over 10 years experience as a freelance illustrator working in editorial illustration, advertising, publishing and work for cultural clients, foundations and institutions. Clients include Apple, Rimowa, Moncler, The New York Times, The New Yorker, 032c, The Atlantic, Die Zeit, Bavarian State Opera and Pentagram New York. - Where are you currently based?
