Why did you choose to enter this work?
This doc highlights the hidden struggles of people with learning disabilities have experienced in healthcare. Giving voice to their experiences raise awareness, foster empathy, and inspire change.

What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
Editing their voices and weaving a narrative allowe me to showcase the diverse experiences of people with learning disabilities, offering a profound insight into the challenges they face in healthcare

What excites you most about being shortlisted?
It provides an incredible platform for our film to reach a wider audience, allowing more people to connect with the powerful message it conveys.

Where do you usually work?
I usually work from home - having my desk and Cintiq set up in my living room for all my drawing work. Occasionally, I go to a local cafe to focus my time on some writing.

How long did it take to complete your project?
It was about 3-4 months for the animation production.

What is your dream commission?
As a long-time chair lover, I would love to do some illustration and animation for picture books or adverts about furniture and every day household objects.

What’s your favourite thing to draw?
Inanimate objects.

What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Be honest with your art.

What are your plans for the future?
I've have been writing a lot and working on my new short films. It’s very exciting and motivates me to wake up every morning.
