What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
Being the first project I made after becoming a parent, this illustration reflects on a specific moment in my life, a time of personal change and growth.
Where do you usually work?
I currently have a home studio, but I also enjoy working in cafe or libraries.
How long did it take to complete your project?
All my illustrations require a long execution time, a lot of patience and a pinch of obsession. I spent weeks working on this specific image, as I really wanted to push my limits with it.
What is your dream commission?
I have always wanted to collaborate with NASA, exploring their huge archive of satellite footage and data. I would like to create a series of collages and use them to create animations/motion graphics
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Don't let anyone else define your worth as an Artist. Whatever you create by investing time, research, and thought is legitimate work.
What are your plans for the future?
I tend to go day by day, in both my professional and personal life. Traveling as much as possible is – and always will be – my main goal in life, as well as my first source of inspiration.
