Why did you choose to enter this work?
Because it is a project that I particularly care about and that I know many people are loving and using in many countries around the world.
What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
Designing an entire deck of tarot cards (78 arcana) means studying a lot before throwing yourself into drawing and then letting yourself go into the flow of what the symbols tell unconscious.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
The fact that the jury appreciate the magic I spread through these arcana.
Where do you usually work?
In a studio with two friends in the heart of Turin, a beautiful city North-West Italy, I sketch by hand, pencil first and then ink drawing and digital colors.
How long did it take to complete your project?
Nine months. Like a baby :)
What is your dream commission?
Making all the interior design for a cultural temple or a theatre.
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
Symbols, strange creature, animals, women, people in general, botanics...
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Read, travel, enjoy what comes from your imagination, draw, draw, draw!!
What are your plans for the future?
Destroy the thin boundary between Art and Illustration.
