Why did you choose to enter this work?
I thought they both dealt with difficult topics in a relatable and accessible way that people would be able to empathise with.

What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
The more we discuss mental health and our internal worlds the more compassion and empathy we'll have for each other, allowing us to focus on what connects us rather than what divides us.

What excites you most about being shortlisted?
I'm really excited to be part of an international award, and to be part of the WIA community.

Where do you usually work?
All my work starts in a sketchbook, and for this I sketch where ever I can. I then have a desk in my bedroom for my mixed media and digital work.

What is your dream commission?
My dream is to work with any brand, company, charity that wants to explore topics surrounding human connection and wonder.

What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I love drawing people. I'm currently working on a project called '1000 ways to draw a person' to allow me to explore different ways to depict the body.

What is your best tip for other illustrators?
To stay curious and be kind to yourself.

What are your plans for the future?
I plan on continuing developing my portfolio and growing as an illustrator.
