Interview:

Why did you choose to enter this work?
I choose to enter this work because this was one of the most fulfilling projects I’ve ever worked on. I felt such joy after finishing it and wanted to share that feeling with everyone.

What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
My favorite thing is its purpose. Without a doubt, it was really empowering of to be able to make my contribution to help raise awareness on such an important matter.

What excites you most about being shortlisted?
I am honored to be shortlisted with so many talented people from around the world. Getting to know all the WIA illustrators is really inspiring.

Where do you usually work?
I work remotely with my laptop. Most of the times, I work from my home-studio accompanied by my cat but When Dinka commissioned me this project, I was visiting my mother and working from her home.

What is your dream commission?
I love fashion. My dream is to be hired by an important clothing brand to create the prints for an entire collection.

What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I have a soft spot for animals, plants, and vintage objects.

What is your best tip for other illustrators?
To never stop searching. Inspiration does not come by itself; it must be sought. You need to move, to try, to experiment, to connect with the environment and with oneself to create something new.

What are your plans for the future?
As an art director I usually work in branding projects. But, after being part of this Project, I’ve decided to give more time and space to those works related to art, which is my one true passion.
