The brief was to create a book of 26 fully-illustrated alphabets, each one an A to Z of things to spot. From an A-Z of Birds (A is for Albatross, B is for Bluebird), to an A to Z of the Zoo (A is for Aardvark, B is for Baboon). The Alphabet of Alphabets should be a fun and engaging way of learning new words.
The problem with a book full of busy images, is that it is often overwhelming for the reader. I tried to approach the book so each page is accessible, spending a lot of time with each composition. Each page presents a similar problem - accommodating an alphabet of things to find, so I had to come up with a variety of approaches.Commissioned for:
