From advertising campaigns, to picture books, recipe books, zines and beverage and chocolate packaging, food and drink provides inspiration for illustration in myriad ways.
This poster is designed for Yoku Moku, a snack brand from Japan. The poster promotes their signature product’s limited edition strawberry flavor, the Cigar Butter Cookie. The smoke rising from the cookie reveals the Swiss scenery that inspired the brand’s name.
Developed as a personal project, Marine was inspired by her passion for French gastronomy and the way that her family and I use to cook a lot together.
Her family has a lot of recipes that they are very proud of and they love to cook for our family and friends. So one day Marine had the idea to combine her passion for food and love for illustration to create a own illustrated recipe book, dedicated to Marine’s grand mother and mother.
The creative inspiration for this illustrated chocolate packaging came from Retro Disco. The collision of different dynamic geometric figures and different high saturation colours is used to increase the fun of the overall vision, so that the illustration design conveys a joyful mood.
This picture book was inspired by an the illustrators experience with their family and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to the unstable situation and limited freedom, many people became anxious, including their 2-year-old daughter. They created the picture book inspired by their everyday experiences to help stimulate their child’s imagination and make memories of the moments they spent together.
These artworks aim to capture and celebrate seasonal moments; skiing, bathing and picnicking. The brief for the illustrations was to highlight how champagne is best enjoyed with the company of others, elevating simple situations to special occasions.
Each artwork wraps around the box in a continuous manner, meaning the drawings have no beginning or end.
