WIA 2020 DI (Directory of Illustration) Award jury announced
We are delighted to announce the jury for the 2020 Di Award.
The Directory of Illustration jury will select one shortlisted project to win the DI Award. The Winner will receive a single page marketing package in the Directory of Illustration, valued at $2,695 US Dollars. The programme includes a 100-image professional portfolio on directoryofillustration.com plus a one-on-one consultation with a professional Directory of Illustration marketing consultant on how to best present your work to the American market.

Elizabeth Owen, President, Serbin Creative, Inc.
Elizabeth has been helping professional illustrators and photographers connect with creatives in advertising, corporate, editorial and publishing markets for almost three decades. This experience has given her a keen eye for talent and trends in the commercial art world, as well as unique insight into how artist/art director relationships are formed and nurtured.
As President of Serbin Creative, an international publishing and marketing company, Elizabeth leads a passionate team of designers, digital developers and social media creators to produce a variety of printed titles and online resources, including Directory of Illustration, and Medical Illustration & Animation (produced for the Association of Medical Illustrators).
Elizabeth enjoys speaking to professional groups and emerging talent about the business of marketing and how to get paid to create what you love.
Ellie Altomare, Senior Marketing Consultant, Serbin Creative, Inc.
Ellie Altomare was raised in Florence Italy…immersed in a very artistic family, in a very artistic city. She now resides in Santa Barbara, California, where she earned degrees in psychology and sociology while taking many art classes. Her love for art combined with her business acumen, make her an exceptional marketing consultant to artists around the world.
As a 25-year veteran of the industry, Ellie has been honored to assist and help promote thousands of artists. Her personal experiences in the art world, coupled with her research from years of working with creatives in the field, have helped her understand the challenges and needs of illustrators and art buyers.
Ellie passionately believes in the power of illustration. Every day she is moved and touched by illustrations and animations, and their capability to impact viewers, and to shift perceptions and understanding by challenging thoughts and assumptions.
Jo Ann Miller
Jo Ann has shared her keen marketing sensibility and love of the illustration industry with artists worldwide for over 27 years. She’s an independent Illustration Consultant with Serbin Creative’s Directory of Illustration and was Founder, the first President and Co-Chair of ICON – The First Illustration Conference.
She offers her time-tested advice that illustrators can use to give them a significant competitive advantage when showcasing their work worldwide.
Jo Ann has a degree in Consumer Business and Marketing. She worked with Stan Lee at Marvel Comics to emphasize the use of entertainment resources in children’s education and ran a successful public relations business in Los Angeles, CA.
She has been a guest speaker for the Society of Illustrators, AIGA, SCBWI, ICON, Art Center College of Design and has been published in numerous industry publications.
Winners of the Cross category Awards will be announced at the Private View on 21 October 2020.
