V&A Adobe Creative Residency Programme: Calling for Illustrators
The V&A recently announced the V&A Adobe Creative Residency Programme: A new and expanded residency programme supporting artists and designers to develop their practice through researching the V&A collections and connecting with the general public.
Supported by the Adobe Foundation, and running alongside the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the V&A Adobe Creative Residency Programme aims to transform access to the arts and creative expression for audiences, as well as inspire a new, diverse generation of creators.
Three open calls for the disciplines of Costume Design, Ceramics and Illustration are now live.
For the Illustration program, the V&A are interested to hear from experimental practitioners who take innovative approaches to practices of illustration, drawing and graphic design, in particular responding to the themes of collectivity and togetherness. This resident will work with the Families Programme. More information and specifications about the role can be found here.
The successful resident will enter a fixed term full-time contract for 12 months from 9 January 2024, salaried at £42000 per annum, receiving a studio space, mentorship, resources, access to the Museum’s resources, and staff expertise. Additionally, their work will be featured in a six-month display at the conclusion of the residency year.
There are no degree requirements to make an application and the V&A are open to hear from practitioners without formal training or conventional avenues into their career.
Deadline to apply: Friday, July 28th at 10.00 (UK time).
