Spotlight On: Vic Lee
On 6th May we hosted another Spotlight On, part of our series of informal online lunch chats with inspiring Illustrators, freely available to all AOI members!
We were delighted to have super Illustrator, mural artist, wordsmith and map-maker Vic Lee talking. Vic discussed ‘those moments that take me out of my comfort zone. Those decisions that mould who I want to be and who I think I can be. I have had to make a lot of decisions, from my first studio, leaving a comfortable life in graphic design to be an illustrator. Projects, losing my agent. Pricing jobs and being rejected- a lot!! And doing things that scare the bejesus out of me! But that’s the point, not searching for success, more a better appreciation of who I am and what I can do.”
Vic covered his Coronaavirus diary which he’s been illustrating through the global pandemic and followed up with a Q&A with attending AOI members.

We are introducing our Spotlight On sessions as a casual, social activity, to connect our community during these unusual times. Keep an eye out on our shop, newsletter and social media for more lunchtime chats with inspiring illustrators being announced over the next few weeks!
