Spotlight On Lucy Truman
Award winning illustrator Lucy Truman joined AOI members for our new ‘Spotlight On’ series of informal lunchtime talks.
With a great use of line and a lightness of touch, Lucy works across a broad range of the industry – in fashion, beauty, travel and lifestyle – and she discusses her career, personal work and recent mental health images. She emphasised her belief in positivity, constantly growing, ‘I like to evolve’, and the importance of seeking opportunities ‘You can’t rest on your laurels’.
Lucy also covered her children’s and pre-teen book work and the benefits of a long term career, ‘With experience you have the ability to negotiate’.
