Retirement of AOI Directors
Like many organisations, the AOI is run day to day by a staff team, with it’s strategy guided by a Board of Directors.
The Directors are responsible for ensuring that the AOI is properly run, that we meet our legal obligations and deliver our objectives as set out in the Articles of Association. The Directors are accountable to those with a stake in the company, which in our case means all of our members.
The AGM is a natural time for Board members to retire. At our AGM last night, Roderick Mills has retired, as required by the Articles, after an extraordinary nine years on the board.
Vicki Willden Lebrecht also retired having brought invaluable insights and her infectious energy and passion for the industry many years. She will take forward her new charitable venture which we look forward to sharing details of in due course.
We are hugely grateful for the work of both Roderick and Vicki over many years and wish them well in their next steps.
These changes mean we are now calling for applicants who may want to join the AOI Board.
