Pictoplasma celebrates 15 years this May
Are you passionate about character design? If the answer is yes, then it’s time to Register for Pictoplasma 2019.
Coming back this Spring, the ever popular Pictoplasma Festival will turn Berlin into a hub of great character design and art. Illustrators, animators, filmmakers and designers will share their experience in a range of insightful lectures and workshops from the 8th – 12th May, and attendees will be invited to interact with guests and their work through exhibitions, screenings performances, parties and socials.
Confirmed speakers include Laurie Rowan (UK), Félicie Haymoz (CH), Elenor Kopka (DE), Luke Pearson (UK), Cornelia Geppert (DE), Philippa Rice (UK) and Jeron Braxton (USA), with more to be announced soon.
The accompanying Festival exhibitions stage new work by an impressive line-up of participating artists – presenting sculptures, paintings, installations, art editions and multiples – many of them for the first time in Berlin. Two highlights will be the vast group show by the 6th Pictoplasma Academy Alumni, introducing the raw talent of their annual master-class, and a special anniversary show staged in the dark cellars underneath a former Crematory, featuring surprising interactive work.
