Flore Deman – The Invisible Health Caregiver
This illustration was made for the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. It shows the healthcare crisis in their country. The health caregiver is not valued enough and they have the power to make themselves invisible, which makes it even harder to recognize and appreciate them.
Flore Deman is an award-winning illustrator residing in Belgium with a versatile portfolio that includes drawings for publications, books and packaging as well as personal work.
Ring a Ding Ding- Make Learning Fun
It’s for an article in the bilingual newspaper named 栩栩多多 (The New York Times for kids, China Edition). It shows how architects renovated and upgraded a primary school in China. I painted the floor plan as an open paper box and illustrated four other specific design features to lead the whole transformation, including Hybrid Spaces, Activity Windows, Rooftop Garden, and Cantilevered Classroom.
Yuan Ding (Ring a DingDing) lives and works in Beijing, China. After 3 years of working in Berlin as an art project supervisor, she went back to China to be an illustrator
Laura Wächter – Future Scenarios
Laura was asked by TELOS Magazine to illustrate this inside booklet containing 7 different articles on alternative ways to imagine Future Scenarios, analyzing the plausible, the imaginable and the desirable. The authors dive into topics such as dystopias paralyzing us, or how projections of the Future can be heavily conditioned by present and past experiences.
Laura Wächter has German and Spanish ancestry, and currently works internationally from Virginia (USA), enjoying the natural beauty of the Appalachian mountains.
Danae Diaz – Get to the heart of the matter
This was commissioned to illustrate the feature Get to the heart of the matter published in the Observer on 13_02_22 for a piece on love and therapy and how to stay together.
Danae Diaz is a Spanish illustrator and animation artist currently based in Stuttgart, Germany. Danae has worked together with numerous animation studios, newspapers and magazines, advertising agencies, publishing houses and lifestile, design and fashion brands.
This work was created when the artist started collaborating with Frizzifrizzi, an Italian art magazine. They decided to publish an illustration every Monday that should represent international news from the previous week. This project was started more than a year ago, it has become a beautiful way to inform people about what happens around us.
Alessandra Bruni (aka Allissand) is a freelance illustrator from Italy. Born in 1997, she started drawing when she was a little kid and she never stopped. Alessandra is also a tattoo artist and a fashion model.
Magdalena Pankiewicz – Burnout
Editorial illustration for polish NNO magazine. Magdalena works in Adobe Fresco but she wants her illustrations to look natural with brushtrokes and paper textures. She was led to create this illustration in a retro style with design and furniture inspired by „Mad Man”. The main point of the composition is a woman in a fatigue pose, with a flaming head. Everything is kept in similar color palette to focus the viewer’s attention on the female figure
Magdalena Pankiewicz is a Warsaw based illustrator. She tries to focus on portrait and figurative drawing with a feminine and fashion twist in her commercial work, but also loves to experiment with other themes like landscapes and still lives.
