Images 34 Tour: Hull School of Art and Design
Images 34: Best of British Illustration
Thursday 16 June – Tuesday 5 July 2011
After a very successful stint at Blackpool and Fylde College, Images 34 is now on display at Hull School of Art and Design.
Commenting, Melodie Neesom, Head of Illustration said:
“Hull School of Art and Design is really pleased to be able to show
the Association of Illustrators annual exhibition in Hull. It is some
years since Hull had a professional illustration show in the city
following the demise of the EICCH Illustration Gallery. This show will
present undergraduates, recent  graduates and local people with an
opportunity to re-engage as an audience with superb professional work.
The show will be exhibited in the HSAD Foyer Gallery as part of its
varied external exhibition programme and the show will both be a
significant highlight of the programme and also close this academic
years gallery schedule. The gallery is highly valued by staff, students
and the wider public and exhibitions like this one assist in supporting
Hull’s creative ambitions and enabling a wide community to access the
best in creative work.â€
The exhibition is open Monday to Friday from 9.00 – 17.00 until Tuesday 5 July 2011. Admission is free and school groups are welcome.
Images 34 is a selection of 220 artworks showcasing incredible talents of illustrators who have made a significant contribution to their industry over the last year. The exhibited work provides an overview of the illustrations that were selected by an expert panel of internationally acclaimed judges.
