Francesco Lo Iacono releases new book
Fashion Illustrator and member Francesco Lo Iacono releases his new book ‘Watercolour Fashion Illustration’, a complete step by step course on how to create delicate and beautiful watercolour fashion illustrations.
The book covers the essentials and goes into detail explaining the best tools, materials, techniques, and how to master shadows and colour. From here onwards, Francesco explores the key elements of illustrating fashion, with guidance on how to approach male and female faces, hair types and styles, poses, fabric, texture, patterns, and much more. These building blocks then become the foundation for twenty step-by-step projects within the book, where readers are invited to challenge themselves and build their confidence with every exercise.
These learnings are then expanded with Francesco’s expertise on the best ways to digitise and retouch work, how to work live at fashion events and how to take all learnings to develop a personal style of fashion illustration.
“This book is packed with handy tips and tricks that are worth their weight in gold, the kind of instructions that only someone who has a lot of experience in the medium can give. Francesco clearly has an understanding of where beginners need to be guided in order to build up a portfolio and tricks that will help them improve the fastest.” – Rhiannon D’Averc, London Runway Magazine
