AOI X Harriet Noble
The AOI are thrilled to introduce our new branding illustrations, created by Harriet Noble.
We love Harriet’s playful, expressive, character style born out of her love of tangible craft. Harriet has produced many illustrations out of cut paper, evolving her practice to execute her signature style through more digital techniques with added depth.
Harriet’s work initially caught our eye through her entry to the 2022 World Illustration Awards where she was longlisted in the Editorial category.
We set Harriet a brief to represent scenarios that affect illustrators on a day to day basis, and to reflect some of the core areas the AOI support with, such as navigating contracts, negotiating fees, protecting illustrator’s rights, community support through networking and meet-up groups, 1-1 support and advice and self-promotion. As a result, Harriet created a series of empowering illustrations, championing our diverse members and communicating the AOI’s mission.
Harriet is a London based illustrator, represented by Studio Pi, whose work explores interpersonal situations and societal issues through fluid characters and expressive shapes with humour, energy and warmth. Her clients include New Scientist, Coca Cola, The Guardian, Boots, Creative Review and Cadbury to name a few.
Reflecting on creating the AOI’s branding illustrations Harriet said ‘It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with the AOI, I very much appreciate being asked to be a part of this. The AOI has been such support throughout my career so far, so I feel very honoured to work with them.’
Keep your eyes peeled for these illustrations across our social media and website very soon! They will also be featured in print, across materials that new members will be receiving in their welcome packs. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
Massive thanks again to Harriet. See more of her portfolio here.
