AOI seeking Membership Co-ordinator
The Association of Illustrators (AOI) is a not-for-profit trade organisation supporting illustrators, promoting contemporary illustration and maintaining industry standards. With a membership of over 1,800 freelance illustrators, agents, students and colleges the AOI continues to support and educate future generations at every stage of their career.
Current Membership Manager, Sarah Gordon, will be leaving the AOI in June, so we are looking for a candidate to take up a Membership Coordinator role.
This is an essential role within the Association of Illustrators. The Membership Coordinator is in charge of the Membership Department, being the first point of contact for Members, liaising with the other AOI Managers and line managing the Membership Assistant. Applicants will have an interest in, and understanding of, current issues affecting the illustration industry; excellent communication skills; be well organised and able to remain calm under pressure. Experience of working in an administrative environment with knowledge of illustration and the creative industries is desirable.
The Membership Department is responsible for the provision of services to all of the Members of the AOI. The Membership Coordinator oversees the Membership Desk, providing dedicated and tailored pricing, ethical and contractual support to AOI Members via the phone (10am-4pm) and email.
In addition, the Membership Coordinator works closely with their Line Manager and the Finance Manager to improve the services for Members and identify opportunities to increase the membership base.
The Membership Coordinator line-manages the Membership Assistant, ensuring that their time is spent effectively contacting AOI Members about their renewals, collating Members news and dispatching all Membership communications and post.
