Archaeological Illustration and Design.

I have worked as a professional Archaeological Illustrator for almost 20 years. Combining a background in archaeology and illustration has led me to specialise in heritage illustration, working on excavation projects worldwide, for clients in both the academic and commercial sectors.

My skills in hand drawn illustration, computer based graphic production and desktop publishing allow for a range of cross-platform visual realisation of archaeological and historical data. I am specifically interested in the interpretation and research of available data to visually re-create the past using reconstructions of objects, sites and activities to capture and communicate ‘moments in time’.

While my focus is in heritage illustration I love to create illustration and art work based on many subjects including wildlife an landscapes and fantasy and the supernatural. I have a distinct style combining traditional and digital techniques in both vector and raster formats. I enjoy experimenting with different methods and softwares in response to intended audiences and visual platforms.
