Join us for a cosy creative evening of chatting and rubber stamping with Stephen Fowler + GF Smith. This illustration meet-up is hosted by Small Fry Collective x AOI at SEESAW.
- GF Smith will be delivering a talk going into the history of the renowned paper brand and how you can utilise their paper stock as an illustrator or creative.
- Next up, Stephen Fowler will delve into his practice, which will run into a workshop on how to make your own rubber stamp!
- The talks will start promptly from 6:15 pm please arrive prior to this – doors will be open from 5:45 pm.
- PLEASE bring a scalpel (new blade) + cutting matt to the event if you can. There will be some amount available on the night.
About Stephen Fowler
Stephen Fowler was born in Bristol, grew up in Cornwall, before leaving to study Illustration at Harrow School of Art, and Central Saint Martins in London. After graduating he worked as a freelance editorial Illustrator for newspapers and magazines such as Design Week, Creative Review, Conde Nast, Redwood Publishing, Men’s Health, Independent, New Law Journal, Haymarket Publishing, Illustrated Ape, BBC Worldwide Publications, Big Issue, Computer Active, Diesel Style Lab, Dennis Publishing, Time Out and Times Educational Supplement.

About Small Fry
Small Fry Collective is a creative hub based in Manchester, United Kingdom. Founded in 2018, Small Fry hosts a range of creative events, projects, workshops and talks in person and online, bringing together creatives from across the globe. Small Fry is directed by Illustrator & Animator Maisy Summer. Maisy works alongside colleague and friend, Illustrator & Animator Sarah Wilson. Since graduating together from Manchester School of Art in 2018, both have been working across Illustration, Design, Animation & Education in different capacities.
Small Fry hosts the Manchester meet-up for the AOI, along with an ongoing collaboration of online illustration and animation workshops and courses with Elephant Academy and Derwent. As well as host their own branded workshops and talk series such as Small Fry’s Building Blocks of Freelance Illustration.
