Quentin Blake: From the Studio
Quentin Blake works daily in his London studio, creating everything from narrative drawings to books and large-scale installations.
This evolving display will give a glimpse into his working world, offering an up-to-date showcase of Blake’s prolific projects as they happen.
From the Studio opens with a characteristically wide variety of work including recent publications, forthcoming books, large-scale personal works and preparatory drawings for public art commissions.
See Blake’s illustrations for John Ruskin’s only children’s book The King of the Golden River, first published 150 years ago and recently reissued, as well as drawings for a forthcoming series –The QB Papers, to be released in August.
Blake’s work for the Moonlight Travellers started out as a personal exploratory series of large-scale paintings but is now set to be published in book-form in August.
Also large-scale are the murals on display that were recently created by Blake for Sheffield Children’s hospital.
The From the Studio display will change periodically so keep an eye out for updates as Blake continues to create new and exciting work, each and every day.
